Wine produced in the Beira Interior region, sub-region of Cova da Beira - region surrounded by the Serra da Estrela, Marofa and Malcata mountains. Somewhere in Beira Interior, Anselmo helped a fruit producer to revive the orchard and noticed that on the same land there were three hectares of very old, almost abandoned vineyard. He bought the grapes from these vines and Anselmo Mendes Beira Interior, a Syrian mono-variety, was born from them.
